RuPaul’s Drag Race star Jiggly Caliente, the alter ego of Bianca Castro, has passed away at the age of 44, just days after it was revealed she had undergone a right leg amputation. Her devastated family confirmed the news on Instagram.
In a heartfelt tribute, they shared: “With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Bianca Castro-Arebejo, lovingly known as Jiggly Caliente. Bianca peacefully departed on April 27, 2025, at 4:42 am, surrounded by her devoted family and close friends. A shining figure in both entertainment and advocacy, Jiggly was beloved for her vibrant spirit, sharp humor, and authentic nature. She made a lasting impact through her artistry, activism, and the deep bond she created with fans worldwide. Her legacy is filled with love, bravery, and inspiration. Though she is no longer physically with us, the joy and safe spaces she created will live on. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and eternally honored.”
Tributes poured in for the beloved Filipino drag performer from Queens, New York, who competed in season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race and season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, finishing 12th in the latter. In 2022, she was announced as a judge for Drag Race Philippines.
Fans expressed their grief online. One wrote, “Oh my god. My heart is broken! Fly high our queen xxx,” while another said, “Will be remembered eternally. We love you.” A third tribute read, “So heartbreaking, such a kind, caring soul!! She will be greatly missed,” and another added, “Such an iconic Queen! You’ll be missed and never forgotten.”
