BREAKING NEWS: Lakers Star LeBron James Announced His Retirement After NBA Season Ends

LeBron James, the star of the Los Angeles Lakers, is 40 years old and still a threat on the court. It seems that he is still quite popular on the retail market.

James became the first player in NBA history to have multiple 40+ point games over the age of 40 and the oldest player to reach 40 points since Michael Jordan this season as he led the Lakers to the third overall seed in the Western Conference. At the end of the season, the former league MVP averaged 24.4 points, 8.2 assists, and 7.8 rebounds per game.

James’ influence extended beyond the court. On Monday, the team declared that he and teammate Luka Doncic had sold the most shirts.

“Luka, LeBron, and the Los Angeles Lakers have claimed top spots on the NBA’s Most Popular Jersey and Team Merchandise lists for the 2024-25 regular season,” the organization stated in a post to X.

James may have many more seasons to sell shirts and break records. After the NBA regular season ended this week, he informed reporters that he could continue to play until the end of the decade.

“To be honest, if I really wanted to, I could probably play this game at a high level for about another-weird that I might say this-but about another five or seven years, if I wanted to,” James stated. “But I’m not going to do that.”
