Crosby, 40, announced his retirement on Tuesday during his radio show on Milwaukee’s 105.7 The Fan. He wraps up his career as the Packers’ all-time leading scorer, having played for Green Bay from 2007 to 2022.
“I’m incredibly thankful and grateful for the chance to join Green Bay in 2007, drafted in the sixth round from the University of Colorado,” Crosby said. “To become a Packer and be part of this rich legacy and history means a lot. It’s all about the fans, the people, and my teammates. I’ve always been about the team – ‘we’re doing this together.’ Winning the NFC North nine times and the Super Bowl during my 16 years with Green Bay are memories I’ll cherish.”
Over his career, Crosby made 81.3% of his field-goal attempts (400 of 492) and 97.2% of his extra points (739 of 760), spending most of his career with the Packers.
The Packers chose not to re-sign Crosby in 2023, instead drafting Anders Carlson in the sixth round. Crosby played three games for the New York Giants that year, making 5 of 7 field-goals, and spent the 2024 season out of the game.
With 1,918 points, Crosby is the Packers’ all-time leader, ahead of Ryan Longwell, who scored 1,054 points. Including his time with the Giants, Crosby finished with 1,939 points, ranking 11th in NFL history.
Crosby also holds the Packers’ franchise record with 258 games played, surpassing Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre’s 255 games from 1992 to 2007.
