The San Francisco 49ers are coming off one of their most disastrous seasons in recent history. It wasn’t just one factor that destroyed the season, and the squad will undoubtedly face further challenges after changing the coaching staff.

One of the 49ers’ largest financial hits is wideout Deebo Samuel, who inked a three-year, $71 million contract in 2022. His budget hit next year is $15 million, and TWSN’s Blake Meek believes the team may dump him in the AFC North with the Steelers.
“Deebo is entering the final year of his contract with the 49ers, and you have to believe he will not be back after the 2025 season, one way or another. “Deebo had one of his worst years as a pro for the 49ers this past season, and the writing is on the wall for his departure,” Meek wrote. “One team that needs to add a receiver for next season is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“They have their own concerns with one of their top receivers underperforming, and they really need to enhance the rest of their receiving core. That’s why the San Francisco 49ers are trading Deebo Samuel to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers were linked to the 49ers last offseason when trade negotiations involving Brandon Aiyuk were mentioned, and we may see the same thing this summer with Samuel as the subject.
