The New York Yankees returned to the postseason in 2024, finishing with a 94-68 record and won the American League East.
The Yankees were defeated by the Los Angeles Dodgers following their postseason journey to their first World Series appearance since capturing the title in 2009.
Although the Yankees were unable to complete the task, they have signed several crucial players this offseason in hopes of making another run at the title in 2025.
In addition to their summer acquisitions, the Yankees will be led by reigning American League MVP Aaron Judge next season.
Judge sent a message to Yankees supporters after winning the AL MVP award.
“To the fans, your enthusiasm and devotion inspire me every day. Your support motivates me to be the best version of myself, and it’s an honor to represent the greatest city in the world,” Judge remarked on ‘X.’
Judge won his second AL MVP award in three seasons in 2024, setting career highs in RBIs, walks, and OPS.
In 2024, Judge appeared in 158 games, recording a.322 batting average, 10.8 WAR, 58 home runs, 144 RBIs, and a 1.159 OPS.
Judge continued to dominate during the regular season, but he appeared to falter in the playoffs.
In 14 playoff games, Judge batted.184 with three home runs, nine RBIs, and a.752 OPS.
With standout outfielder Juan Soto moving to join the New York Mets, Judge will need to step up in the postseason if the Yankees are to win the World Series in 2025.
